Girls..lets check this out today......HOW TO DRESS ACCORDING TO YOUR BODY TYPE

1. Identify your body type. Many writers have identified different 'body types', so you need to know which one is closest to your own. Don't be afraid of what shape you body takes; instead be proud!

* Boyish - Slim but not curvy.
* Pear-Shaped - Wider hips and thighs.
* Top-Heavy - Large chest.
* Petite - Small proportions; basically thin and short.
* Apple-Shaped - A bigger belly and thin legs.

2. Dress for your body type. After you've determined your body type, you should be able to find out what suits you. Don't be afraid to experiment!

* Boyish Emphasise your waist with belts - they'll accentuate a curvy figure. Go for ruffles and frills, which will maximise your femininity. Steer clear of white vests, baggy jeans, and trackies if you don't want to look boyish. Buying a pair of flared jeans will make your legs seem curvier. Dresses that tie or nip at your waist create curves. Also buy a padded bra to enhance your cleavage; no one will ever know!

* Pear-Shaped Wear dark colours on your bottom half to flatter a larger bum. Some great slimming colours to wear are black, navy, and dark purple. Avoid bright or patterned clothes on your bottom half. Buy a pair of boot-cut jeans to balance out wide hips, as skinnys will make your thighs look bigger. Your figure is perfect for dresses; go for styles that pull you in at the waist, such as wrap dresses and prom dresses. Ditch your stilettos, which draw attention to a larger bum and thighs, and try flats and wedges instead.

* Top-Heavy Book yourself a professional bra fitting; it's life-changing and will make your chest look fantastic! Stock up on V-neck dresses and tops - they're super flattering on big-busted girls. If you don't want to draw attention to your chest, stay away from necklaces and wear chunky bangles instead. You should also wear plain colours around your bust and go for patterned and colourful bottoms instead.

* Petite You should check out the children's wear rangers in stores; they have some amazing pieces, and they're cheaper! Avoid full-length coats and maxi dresses - they'll just swamp you. Choose cropped jackets, shorts, and mini dresses to keep your petite frame in perfect proportion. Dressing in one colour or wearing vertical stripes will make you look taller. Try high heels too!

* Apple-Shaped Wear darker tops to hide any lumps on your belly. Go for dresses and tops that nip in under the bust - it's a super flattering style for you as it skims over your tummy. Stock up on skinny jeans, miniskirts, and bright tights to make the most of your great legs. Wear a belt as high up as it will go so that the fabric of your dress or top skims over your middle.

Tips

* Always try clothes on! A dress that looks great on a hanger might not be so perfect on your body.

* Experiment and discover what colours suit your skin tone, hair, and eyes. Generally paler girls should go for softer, pastel colours while girls with darker skin should try bright, bold colours. If you have blue eyes, wear green to bring them out, and if you have green eyes, blue will bring them out! Brown eyes look beautiful with golden tones.

* Ask a trusted friend to help you when clothes shopping. Make sure that it's someone who will give you an honest opinion!

* If it doesn't quite fit but would look great on your body, get the size that fits everywhere and then take it to a tailor to have it made to fit correctly. (Tailors can always give you a quote if you ask, but they need to see you and the clothing.)

* Don't be afraid of the number on the size of the clothes, besides the fact that they are often slightly off. Having clothes that fit is better than looking cheap and trashy.

Warnings

* Clothes in stores are not made to fit every body type.

* Clothes are not as flawless as you are.

* Stay away from polyester and spandex regardless of your shape; they're never flattering.

* Showing more skin is never a good solution to flattering your body; it is the worst.
